Australian Tour by Selector
Mrs R McCarthy, of Hastings, Hawke’s Bay basketball selector for the past 10 years, left this week to make a month-long tour of Australia. She will be back in Hastings soon after this year’s season gets underway and is available for the selectorship again.
In Australia Mrs McCarthy will meet up with her father, Mr O. Tong, also of Hastings, a member of a New Zealand bowling team at present playing in the Commonwealth. Together they will make a tour of the country after the bowling tour ends.
