Newspaper Article – Hastings Wren Returns

HASTINGS WREN RETURNS. Seven months after she arrived in England nearly seven years ago Chief Wren Molly Russell, daughter of the late Hon. and Mrs H.A. Russell, of Hastings, donned the neat navy-blue uniform of the W.R.N.S. She was attached to the motor transport branch and drove every type of vehicle until latterly, when she was on the administrative side. For the last three years she had been stationed at Portsmouth. “My biggest job was organising the Wren transport at Portsmouth on D-Day,” she commented. Miss Russell is hoping to return to England as soon as possible and may take up her original study of interior decorating.
