Newspaper Article – HP Horne Honoured
At the annual meeting of the Dannevirke Power Board on Tuesday opportunity was taken by the chairman (Mr. M. O. Grainger) to congratulate Mr. H. P. Horne upon the well-deserved honour which has been bestowed upon him by the King. “We feel that Mr. Horne has rendered many years of useful public service and there is no coronation medal better deserved” he said. “On behalf of the board, I offer you Mr. Horne, very sincere congratulations.” “I thank you Mr Chairman, very much and I appreciate your kindly remarks,” replied Mr. Horne.
