The President’s Foreword
It Is my pleasure to welcome you to the 76th Annual Performance of the Napier Frivolity Minstrels.

This year you will very likely miss some members who retired last year, but we take pride in presenting new members for your entertainment – we trust you will like them.

We would like to extend to you, our audience, our most grateful thanks for your continued support, and hope you have a happy evening’s entertainment.

Producer
This is Shirley’s eleventh year with the “Frivs”, and her third year as producer of the entire show. The “Frivs” are certainly very grateful to have such a capable person in this important position. The cast rely and respond to her versatile directions.

In private life Shirley has her own ballet and tap school.

Pianist and Musical Directress
This year our pianist is Mrs Rose Mardon, who was pianist for the “Frivs” from 1954 to 1959.

We are certainly very pleased to have Mrs Mardon back with us once again.

Mrs Mardon is well known in Napier, and has her own group, which often performs for charitable organisations.

Assistant Secretary
John is also new to the production side of the “Frivs”. He has been a member of the chorus for the past five years, and every year he has presented his own magic act. John would like to thank every member of the company for their co-operation this year in the absence of our Secretary, Sid Henney, who has been overseas.
