Designer
TOLIS PAPAZOGLOU
Tolis arrived in New Zealand from Athens in 1978, where he trained as a designer at the Athens Technogical Institute. En route to New Zealand he worked in several design fields in London. Some of his more unusual clients there included wealthy Arabs for whom he designed and made gold leaf picture frames and also designed interiors. He has designed for the N.Z. Ballet, Circa and Downstage in Wellington and has now taken up the permanent position of Resident Designer with Downstage Theatre. He also conducts night classes in interior design.

Tolis is married to Robyn Payne who teaches speech and drama and they have a daughter Beatrice, aged two.

Tolis has designed the set for “OLIVER” and his strikingly effective simplistic style has captured the atmosphere of London in Dickensian times.

Musical Director
WARWICK CURTIS
Warwick is the Hawke’s Bay Musical advisor to schools. He has directed many musicals, principally in New Plymouth, and we are delighted to welcome him to Hastings Operatic.

Choreographer
DONNA MORRISON
Donna is a teacher of classical ballet, modern and tap dancing in Clive. She has been working hard to bring the cast up to the high standards required for this difficult show. Donna is a joy to work with and we are fortunate to have her as a member of our production team.

Chorus Mistress
NANETTE ROBERTS
Nanette has spent a great deal of time and effort in training chorus and principals in the well known “OLIVER” songs. Nanette has been chorus mistress for our last two shows and we are sure you will agree that she has more than matched her previous high standards.
