WHY WHISTLE??

It has been a long time since we have presented a real drama as our school musical. The last one was ‘West Side Story’ in 2000. It was time to do it again and “Whistle Down The Wind’ became available for the first time in 2013. It’s a show I have long wanted to direct and this was the year.

Suzanne, Vicki and I are very proud of our production team and a superb cast that have coped with the rigours of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s music, awkward structures and timings. Jim Steinman’s lyrics have also provided the cast with endless hours of homework. This is a passionate story and a real chance for our schools to show a different facet of our musical and dramatic skills. I feel that we have succeeded.

I hope you enjoy our efforts.
