2.)   Please find attached a bromide of our advertisement for the Members “Specials” booklet.

3.)   My firm/business wishes to offer the following “deal” for the members of Hawke’s Bay Racing Inc. (Please write clearly what you wish to offer)   PRESENT YOUR CARD FOR 12% DISCOUNT ON YOUR NEXT 1 HR. FILM PROCESSING OR A 8 x 10 ENLARGEMENT FOR ONLY $1.00 OR BUY A FRAME AND WE WILL FILL IT, UP TO 8 x 12

4.)   I/we understand that we will be required to honour our “deal/special offer” for one year from 1 August 1997 through to 31 July 1998.

5.)   I/we understand that Hawke’s Bay Racing Incorporated Members will be issued with a card that they can present at our store that entitles them to the “Special Offer”.

On behalf of Hawke’s Bay Racing Inc. and Carlton & United Breweries, I would like to thank you for your fantastic effort preparing a great window display for the 1998 Foster’s Hawke’s Bay Cup Window Display Competition.

The standard of entrants was very high this year, which made judging a very difficult task, and the competition very tough!

I’m sure all those who were able to attend the retailer’s cocktail function will agree that it was a great night and the guest speaker, marketing expert, Dr Richard Buchanan, was most entertaining. And in case you missed the announcement at the retailer’s cocktail function, the main prize-winners were:

1st:   Trust Bank Stortford Lodge, Hastings
2nd:   Guthrie Bowron, Hastings
3rd:   Chris Wiig, Napier
4th:   Eyebrowse, Hastings
5th:   Canterbury of New Zealand, Napier

We’ve enclosed a photo of your window for your records, so you have another memento of the competition once your Foster’s Beer has gone!

I hope you were able to make the Foster’s Hawke’s Bay Cup day itself on Saturday – as it was an excellent day with fabulous weather and loads of action!
