Cups for first and second in each of the above events to value of £1 1s for first, 10s 6d for second.
SPECIAL POINTS PRIZE CHALLENGE CUPS
Carnival Challenge Cup (value seven guineas), present holder. L. Schneidemann, Wellington.
The Dave Cambie Challenge Cup (value eight guineas), for which Rotorua Club members only are eligible to compete.
CUP CONDITIONS
1. – Either or both of these cups may be won outright by a competitor registering three successive wins or five wins at intervals.
2. – Points for these cups for the 1934 Boxing Day Sports meeting will be allotted 3 for first, 2 for second, 1 for third, and ½ point to every finisher in any of the following groups of events. (a) 100, 220, 440; (b) 440, 880, 1 mile; (c) High Jump, Hop, Step and Jump, Broad Jump; (d) Shot, Discus, Javelin; (e) ½, 1 and 2 miles cycle; (f) the three ladies’ events.
3. – A tie will be decided by awarding either cup to the competitor who, in tieing, has the smallest aggregate handicap in the appropriate events.
4. – Both cups may be held by winners until November 30, 1935, subject to arrangements with the Rotorua A. A. and C. C.
IMPORTANT FOR COMPETITORS
Entry fees for all events (excepting 23) 2/6 for men and 2/- for ladies, excepting that if the executive accepts any entries after the closing date they will be charged for at the rate of 1/- per event. This will be strictly enforced.
Entries close with the Secretary NOT LATER than noon on Tuesday, December 18, 1934.
Competitors must nominate the events in which they intend to compete and in connection with these they must supply, regarding each separate one, their last three performances, either club or open. Any disregard of this requirement will lead to disqualification.
Age and registered number to be stated on an Official or Club Entry Form.
The club will not be liable for accidents and competitors compete at their own risk. Competitors must be registered members of an Amateur Athletic or Cycling Club.
Events run under the rules of the N.Z.A.A.A and N.Z.A.C.A.
Three starters or no race. Five starters or no second prize.
Registered numbers must be worn by all competitors.
The executive has the right to alter or cancel the programme.
Approved by Waikato Sub-Centre of N.Z.A.A.A., and Auckland Amateur Cycling Centre.

22. – ONE MILE JUNIOR CARNIVAL CYCLE CHAMPIONSHIP.

Novelty Event
23. – CYCLISTS’ LAP RACE. Order to value of 10/-.
6d. entry fee at the starting post.
Relay Races
24. – 400 YARDS LADIES’ INTER-CLUB RELAY. Teams of four, each runner 100 yards.
25. – 400 YARDS MEN’S INTER-CLUB RELAY. Teams of four, each runner 100 yards.
Miniature Cups, donated by Dr. R. Dorset, of Rotorua, to winning teams.
Admission: Adults 1/-, Youths & Girls 6d, Enclosed Seating Accommodation 6d.
