THE YEAR’S ACTIVITIES AND GENERAL INFORMATION

FEBRUARY 19th:  Combined picnic held on Mr T C Lowry’s property. Otamauri, Sherenden, Crownthorpe and Waiwhare Schools.  Mrs. H. Marshall saved a child from drowning.

APRIL 13th:  The first Householders Meeting was held to elect a School Committee.  23rd:  Decided to plant the existing benthamii shelter belt.

MAY 29th:  Two oak trees planted to mark the Coronation of Queen Elizabeth II.

SEPTEMBER 9th:  First wireless and lawn mower purchased.

OCTOBER 30th:  Combined Fancy Dress Ball at Sherenden.

DECEMBER 7th:  School extensions proposed.

NEEDLEWORK:  Mrs M Sheild (first one)

PRIZES PRESENTED BY:  Mrs D Bray.
