JOHN FERGUSON
Having been with the Frivs for 25 years, this is John’s first time in a Production role. Previously President for 13 years, John now holds the positions of Patron and Life Member. Together with Helen, John created “On Broadway Tonight” – A Show we hope you enjoy.

HELEN SMITH
Helen first Produced shows for the Gisborne Operatic in 1982, and has been with the Frivs for over 20 years. Tonight’s role sees Helen as Artistic Director, Co-ordinating Wardrobe, Lighting, Sound and Backstage Personnel.

Edith has been associated with the Frivs both as a Producer and Musical Director, and on stage as a member of the Cast. Under her direction, the high standard of choral work is very obvious in the performance you hear tonight. This year Edith was made a Life Member of the Frivs.

Our Multi Talented and well known Musician Eric, is our resident Musical Director and Arranger of the music for our shows. We are proud to have his expertise assisting us in our Production, and also as vocalist tonight. We trust he will be with us for many years to come.

SHIRLEY JARRETT
(Choreographer Director)
Shirley has travelled extensively and studied for her qualifications in London and Los Angeles. Well known as an adjudicator and tutor throughout N.Z. She has choreographed many musical shows. In 19088 she wrote her own musical show “An Evening with Gershwin”. We are privileged to have her with us.

42nd Street   Listen to our very own Val Ives introducing you to the Camens Broadway Production, 42nd Street.
Dames   Our Men and a selection of Lovely Ladies.
Lullaby of Broadway   Opening the scene, Fleur Hannah and Peter Coldicutt bring you a Broadway classic number.
Top Hat, White Tie and Tails   Starring Alec Wishart.
Vipers’ Drag   A special creation for Shirley Jarrett especially for our Dance Troupe.
Lullaby of Birdland   Raelene Kyle and Orchestra delights in a Broadway Blues Special.
Caravan   A novel approach to a well known song – featuring Alec Wishart.
The “A” Train   Orchestra.
No Business Like Show Business   A stage setting constructed before your very eyes by the Cast.
New York, New York   Alec Wishart takes the spotlight.
Putting on the Ritz   A well known umber in real Ritz Style.
When the Parade Passes By   Graeme Smith and our Cast, take the stage to lead us to the Intermission.

Prologue   Auction takes place on Stage at Paris Opera House.
Phantom of the Opera Music of the Night   Recreated by our very own Phantom Buddy Collins with delightful Soprano Tracey Crosse.
Masquerade   Exciting music brought to life by our Cast, featuring Anne Compton.
All I Ask of You   Finale to this Magnificent Andrew Lloyd Webber, Spectacular Production.
